Kroger Community Rewards Program

Just by grocery shopping, our charity receives money back to support the many terrific things we do. If you are a KROGER grocery shopper, this is an easy fund raiser and opportunity for LTN to raise money – and a great way that KROGER supports the community. You still receive all the benefits you currently receive – LTN receives additional benefits from KROGER from your shopping experiences.   (This is in addition to our existing TOM THUMB/SAFEWAY Grocery Program).

Love Thy Neighbor Volunteers support our community by supporting The Denton County Children’s Advocacy Center.  Our LADIES look FAB with their Hats and coordinating red and black attire to match the table setting.  LTN was a hit!!  Thank you Lynn, Shelagh, MaryAnn, Suzy, Karen, Susan and Stephanie for representing us.  Looks like a great time.

PAMPERED CHEF PARTY
Was held Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-4pm.  We are excited that 50 of our volunteers and friends showed up or ordered online!  It was a huge success.  Special THANKS to Thursday Kitchen Volunteer Angela Luhman for hosting our PAMPERED CHEF party and giving a portion of the proceeds to LOVE THY NEIGHBOR. We are ordering new and needed tools for the kitchen.  Many gracious folks also ordered for the kitchen as well as themselves.  We are so appreciative to be a part of such a generous community.

UPDATE ON THE SALVATION ARMY “NEW HOUSE” and KITCHEN (April 17, 2012)
Renovation on the house located at Main Street and Charles Street is completed! The office and administrative team have moved in and is operational.  Plants will be planted and a few signs are coming – but it is finally OPEN!  The Clothing Assistance Program opens Thursday, April 18.  Renovation to the kitchen will start in a few weeks and the much needed prep space will begin.

Mark Bruington and his company, Trusty Construction, oversaw this huge project. The house is truly beautiful. Stop in for a tour.

COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Garden continues to flourish even through the hot days of summer and cold days of winter.  We have enjoyed daily produce which enables us to provide healthier, nutritious meals. If you would like more information and are interested in adopting a plot, please contact Rick Lubke at 469-831-2086. He will be able to answer any questions you might have regarding the garden and its needs. This is a wonderful way to give back to the community. The garden is located on Kealy Street in front of the Upper Trinity Water District buildings.
