Clothing Program History

Love Thy Neighbor, Inc. a non-profit 501(c)(3), managed the Clothing Assistance Program (CAP) that opened in April 2013.   New and gently worn clothing items were distributed for free to qualified clients 2-3 days a week to families in need and homeless. Items included shirts and pants/jeans, shoes, socks, and new underwear. Personal Shoppers assisted qualified clients by appointment to select clothes that fit and provide a dignified experience.  Each family member received four outfits every three months.

Love Thy Neighbor (CAP) was housed in the Salvation Army Lewisville until December 2021.

January 2022 Love Thy Neighbor (CAP) began a partnership with New Beginnings Church in Lewisville.  The Clothing Closet is now open the first and third Saturdays of the month.
